  • Week 3 : This Can’t Go On

    September 23rd, 2025

Another stinker, another loss against the Danny Dimes led Colts. Just another reminder the NFL makes no sense. Seeing the resurrection of Daniel Jones career and the revolution of Titans fans against Brian Callahan gave us quite the week.

I have to start off by saying, I didn’t get to watch this game at all. First game I’ve completely missed in about 7 years, but it seemed like a good one to miss. Titans lose 41-20 on Sunday to a seemingly streaking Colts team. Just off of stats and highlight clips, I would say we looked as bad as we ever have in the Brian Callahan’s regime.

Daniel Jones was decisive and Johnathan Taylor had his way with us, anyway anyhow. It makes me wonder if the Colts offense is actually good, or if the Titans defense is much worse than we anticipated. I said it last week as well, but the lack of edge rushers and linebackers is killing this defense. Simmons is doing everything he can, but without Sweat or any real threat off the edge, getting pressure is almost impossible. Cody Barton seems to be solid, but even then the linebackers are missing gaps in the run game, and look like they’re stuck in mud on zones. I think I have to give more credit to the Colts, because they look solid in really all areas right now. Even Anthony Richardson got in! The Colts were supposed to be in an equally bad spot as us this year, yet they continue to win games and look competitive in every aspect of the game. Dare I say that is a coaching issue. Who’s to say.

The Cam Ward pick was bad. Just lofted a ball that needed some heat, and looked like he didn’t see Kenny Moore at all. Great jump on a route from a good corner, giving Cam his first career pick 6. Something Titans fans have grown accustomed to in the last year.

Ayomanor continues to impress, catching his 2nd touchdown of the season (More than Treylon Burks entire career, thanks Jon!), and possibly bumping Ridely out of WR1. Obviously, Ridely is the better player, but Ayomanor has made every play he’s had to opportunity to. He’s been consistent and open when he’s been asked to, and Ridely has had essentially little to no impact on any game this year. I wonder if it’s because Ayomanor hasn’t had all the life sucked out of him yet from being on bad teams his whole career. Hang in there Calvin.

Like I said, I did not get to watch this game, so I can’t even really say how we looked, but the numbers say bad. So instead, lets talk about the Texans in week 4.

Texans look to be almost as stinky as we are? Almost. Coming off a loss to the Jags this week, the Texans have two options : Win a get-right game against the Titans and show they are real competitors in the division, or continue to slide and give the Titans some life. With the game being in Houston, and the “Fire Callahan” chants looming, I’m leaning towards a statement Texans win. Titans should have a chance to win this game, but with how this season has gone, and reports of us looking like we didn’t even want to play last week, I can only stay so hopeful.

Titans should have every chance to win this game, we love to beat the Texans once a year in a game we have no reason winning. Maybe Callahan figures out something, anything. Maybe the defense can actually abuse the duct tape Texans offensive line. Going into this year and after week 1, I knew the linebackers were an issue, but I assumed with Jeffery Simmons and Sweat, we’d have a strong run stopping defense, and a good enough secondary to compete with anyone over the top. But after this past week, I’m worried Nick Chubb and the rest of the Texans running back committee is going to run us in the dirt. Of course, Johnathan Taylor and the Colts offensive line are top 10 when healthy, but how is our team supposed to get excited and fight in a road game after going 0-3, and having the fans stage a mutiny against the coach?

I don’t know what to think about this team anymore. All we can do is continue to watch and pray for Cam Ward’s development. We all knew we would not be a good team this year, but I still didn’t expect 0-3 to come so quickly. At this point, I’m out on Callahan unless he shows me literally anything. Special teams has been the most improved area of the team by a million, maybe Bones Fassel can be the interim! With a name like that, how can he not win a couple games?

On to week 4. Hopefully we can do something to get me excited and not make me dread the rest of the season. If Cam Ward has 2 passing touchdowns this week, that’ll be a massive win.

Haters don’t even look our way anymore.

    Titans dead.

    Currently taking questions.
