Checking on the Haters

  • Break is Over : It Didn’t Work

    November 3rd, 2025

We’re back, and things are worse than ever. After taking my annual break from talking about the Titans for a couple weeks, we’re back. Not because we have much to talk about, but I just can’t stay away. I was hoping my break would inspire the team and maybe steal us a win or two. But alas, Titans are ass, and despite my hardest efforts, remain ass.

Do we even need to talk about the Chargers loss? Titans had their biggest lead of the season for a while there. But don’t be fooled, this Titans team may have scored 20 points, but only 6 on offense. A Cody Barton pick 6 and Chimere Dike punt return TD led this team. Not much positive happened outside of that.

Dike is a legit returner and is the best we’ve had in a long time. He’s also coming into his now as a receiver, but still has plenty of room to grow.

Ayomanor has fallen off a little bit. He was a 4th round pick, so how much can he fall off? Drops have become a theme for much of this receiver room, and Ayomanor has plenty of room to improve.

Chig, DreMont Jones, and Arden Key all put up decent performances, trying to boost their own trade value so they can get out of this hell hole.

We’re all expecting the Titans to make some moves at the trade deadline this week, but who can we move and what can we get? Word on the street is people are calling for Ridley and Sweat. Trading Sweat is so foolish to me, but I can understand trading Ridley. He’s on a massive contract, has been generally unreliable, and is 29 on a tanking team. Reports are saying he won’t be moved, but I say why not. The only untouchable to me is Jeffery Simmons. Everybody else can and will be replaced by a 6th round pick.

Titans are in such a weird spot where they are adamant on drafting and building from within, yet we have the 2nd most cap space going into this offseason. Will we try and buy a team like Ran Carthon did or will we just have extra cap hanging out. This will be a very telling offseason on if we want to compete.

I’m at the point now with Cam Ward, where I truly have no idea how good he is. Is he good on a horrible team? Is he also bad with small hands? Does he have potential that is actively being squashed by the organization? Many are asking, and there are few answers. I’m trying to stay positive and just say he needs a real coach. It’s so impossible to evaluate him right now with the state of this team, so we’re going to keep the faith that he’s the answer to our prayers.

As for that good real coach, who’s out there for us? Mike McCarthy, Robert Salah, and even Steve Sarkisian are names swirling around. But i’ve got my eyes on some possible prefired coaches. If either of Brian Daboll or Kevin Stefanski get fired, Titans need to be hammering their lines. Needs to be like a call center, ripping dials. Far and away the best would be candidates on the market if either get fired. Will the get fired? Will the Titans make the right move if they are? Who’s to say, but that’s what i’m hoping for.

Overall, Titans remain deader than dead. With nothing to play for, no real hope for the future, and no faith in ownership, Titans are officially (according to my metrics) a bag over the head team.

I’ll keep watching because i’m a sicko, but doctors would recommend watching literally anything else on Sundays, for your health.

    Titans are dead
