Not much Titans talk this week with the bye week, so we’re going to do a little season outlook and league talk.
It’s been a very strange NFL season to this point, and I’m rooting for pure chaos for the rest of the season. Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield are your co-MVPs. Anthony Richardson is hurt and Flacco is back again. Malik Wilis is back? The Bengals, Browns, Jags, Rams and Titans all have 1 win, all of whom were thought to be powerhouses.
Pure chaos.
The best news for the Titans right now, is that the rest of the division is also kinda booty. AFC South is ass? What? No! I’m not buying it. Well it’s true, Jags, Colts and Titans are having a stink off, and we might be entering uncharted stink. Texans are good, but I think they were blown out of proportion last year. They’re very good and have a good coach and some really strong pieces, but they’re too young to be a really good team right now. They should certainly win the division, but I would be shocked if they make it out of the first round, especially with those ugly ass H-Town jerseys. they got from whining about the Titans sick ass Oilers jerseys.
Jags and Colts are making me feel much better about myself. Colts are in a bad bad spot with a QB who can’t stay healthy, and when he is healthy, you’ll get good plays 30% of the time. Their defense is fairly solid, but, as we’ve seen from our own experiences, you can’t get by with a good defense and a bad quarterback.
Jags are also in a stinky position. They’re in the “Is Trevor Lawrence good?” position, which is never good news, especially after just paying him $180 million. Trevor has looked bad, Dougy Doug Peterson looks like he might be fired, and their defense is nothing like Sacksonville.
Makes you feel better about the Titans spot
So we’ve talked about the AFC South and now, i’m gonna rant a little about my favorite guys and teams in the league.
Close friends of mine know I’m a Baker Mayfield stan through and through. Baker has been unbelievable. Baker is the exact prototype of a quarterback that I love. A little stocky, almost overly confident, physical, had to grit and grind to get where he is, and he’s a little insane. If you’ll notice, that’s awful close to Levis, just missing out on the confidence and being good. Buccaneers should win the (good?) NFC South and I am calling them to get to the NFC Championship.
Sam Darnold is also very much in that same boat, but you don’t need me to tell you how much you should love Darnold.
In the AFC, I love the Justin Fields redemption. I’ve been a notable Justin Fields truther, and he’s finally starting to look comfortable. They’re doing classic Steelers football, winning the ugliest game you’ve ever seen and scoring under 24 points. It’s awesome. Just stinky hard nose football with Jussy. I think they’ll make the playoffs as a wild card cat, and lose pretty much immediately, but they’ll be there!
After 5 weeks, i’m ready for my Super Bowl prediction.
Chiefs – Lions
A little boring, a little vanilla, a little chalk. But that’s okay!
The AFC has struggled pretty much everywhere, and I can just see it now, Chiefs win 12 games and make the super bowl.
Lions have been getting here for a couple years. but it’s looking like they might be ready to make that final push this year. One of the most tortured, yet fun and gritty teams out there, finally gets their super bowl chance.
That’s all I got, Titans didn’t win or loss their bye week, so that’s good I guess.
Titans play the Colts this week, and I can promise you one thing: it’s not gonna be fun. My biggest fears are about to be exposed, Seth “Da Flow” (Colts Anthem guy) is coming. He will try to break me, all I can do is hope in Levis/Rudolph and company.
Still hope Levis plays, live and die by Levis.
Titans still 1-0 in last 1
Haters are fine.
