Not a Revenge Game

This is starting to get a little ridiculous.

Unbeknownst to me, Malik Willis is the best QB in the NFL. I told you all he needed more time in the oven, and it looks like he’s finally reached golden brown. He looked like prime Michael Vick and Will Levis looked like Brett Favre after coming back from his second retirement.

I halfway got what I wanted last week. we were, in some cases, very much fun bad. In other instances, it was just sad to watch. Levis had 4 turnovers in this game, and I believe he has 8 in 3 weeks (I am not going to look it up because it will make me sad). It’s the same old Titans, shooting ourselves in the foot, turning the ball over and just being silly with the ball in our hands.

We’re starting to get into the worst spot you can be in as an NFL team in-season; QB controversy. We were supposed to be done with this, Levis was supposed to be the guy. But here we are again, for the third year in a row, Titans don’t know who is going to be playing qb in the next couple weeks. We got the “Will Levis is our QB” comment minutes after the game ended. Terrible sign. Right up there with “Coach will be handing over the play calling duties to ….). If the NFL is 1940s Japan, those two quotes are the bomb sirens, and Mason Rudolph and Andy Dalton are Fat Man and Little Boy. Things are getting stinky.

3 weeks in without a win will do a lot to a man. Haters are coming from all angles, trying to tear me down. They ask me “Preston how are the titans this bad?”, and “Is it time for Mason Rudolph?”. I don’t like these questions, and you can quote me on that. This was supposed to be Titans comeback season, with a solidified gamer at QB and lots of talent around. We have the talent, but it all falls back on Levis.

I will certainly get hate for this, but the absolute worst part of this season so far, is that we have the talent! The skill players have proven every week so far, that they can play! They have all consistently made plays when given the opportunity, they’re just getting 3-4 chances a game. Outside of that, Will is flopping around the backfield throwing picks upside down, fumbling from NPF doing his best stand around impression, it’s just bad.

People forget I was so anti Will Levis when we drafted him, I was pissed. But, then you spend all offseason and all summer buying in. He’s jacked, he throws bombs, he’s got a huge dick apparently. How can he be bad? Well it looks like he just forgets everything that he’s ever learned everytime things don’t go perfectly. It’s panic like i’ve never seen it in the pocket. When Levis has time, he really can and does make the big throws. He has the talent. but every single time he’s here’s pressure or he has to make a split decision, it’s the decision that nobody has thought of because it’s one of the biggest no-nos you can do on a football field. And not just to dog on Levis the entire time, the offensive line has done him 0 favors. There heave been flashes of some really good play from a few, but the left side is very young and kind of raw, and the right side has been just booty 70% of the time.

It just hurts so bad and makes it so much worse to see Malik Willis (who I very much liked and was upset but not surprised he got traded, good deal at the time) go from absolutely incompetent on a football field, to the next guy up in the league, in 6 weeks.

I’m sad. Titans might be dead, but I’ll still be here. Sad, but here.

Haters are feeling better than they have in years.

Let’s go lose to the Dolphins with Tyler Huntley on national television next Monday.
