We did it! We won a game! Needed it needed it needed it. If you had told me in August we would win our 4th game of the season in week 12, I would have told you to shut your stupid mouth and the team is better than that. But alas, week 12, win number 4.

While I loved the win, Titans played fairly well and it will certainly help with the confidence of the team, I am asking myself if it would be better if we lost. Yes, this is loser talk, yes I am a loser, and yes you are actually supposed to win games in the NFL, but what if we lost. As of this second, Titans have the number 10 pick in the draft. Now ask yourself, would we rather have 6 wins on the year (very generous estimate) and pick 10 or 11, or have 3 wins on the year and have the 2nd or 3rd pick. All i’m saying is I love picks and this class has some of the more explosive players we’ve seen in a long time and the Titans are lining up to pick a tackle. I’m not saying to ditch Levis and go after one of the QBs in the draft, but there are a lot of great receivers in this class and Music City Marv would be electric (that nickname was too good to be used on Malik, who, sadly, I am officially out on).

Strong game for the Titans against the worst team in the league, but still felt good.

Jury is still out

I want to believe. I really do and he has shown some really great flashes of talent in his arm, leadership and being able to take a shot in the pocket (both launching it and getting clobbered). But he is still doing very rookie things which I had hoped to see some improvement on since he’s started. Levis loves a hospital ball, Chris Moore is lucky to be alive, he takes more shots that make me audibly gasp then almost any other player i’ve seen. Not pointing any fingers, but there’s been 3 receivers concussed since Levis took over. Levis throws a beautiful ball, his throwing motion and how he gets that thang out are incredible to watch, but the moon balls are not always the right move. It gives DBs just too much time to get under it and too much time to get a head full of steam and knock the receiver into the next time the Titans win.

Worst part is, he’s still missing guys. DHop could’ve had 2 touchdowns this game, and yes you can blame the offensive line or playcalling, but at the end of the day, Levis is the QB and he’s got to be able to look downfield even with rushers all in his face. Easier said than done, lord knows I wouldn’t be able to do it, but I don’t get paid to play QB in the NFL (I don’t get paid at all!).

This might be controversial and I don’t like that I think this, but I genuinely think Tannehill would be playing better right now if he was starting. Don’t mix my words, I would much much rather have Levis playing and getting reps and experience, but 99% guarantee Tannehill at least sees Hopkins by himself back there and takes a shot. Whether it’s a good ball or not, who’s to say, but he’s taking that shot. That’s just apart of being a veteran player in the league and being able to have the patience and vision to see that. I know I sound like an old man yelling about something that can’t be changed right now, but I want to see Levis be able to see and recognize that and not look for short passes (which i’m sure the coaches are telling him to look for that and keep it safe, but fuck it come on we’re 4-7 in the AFC South, make a play).

Is Derrick Back?

Derrick had 18 carries for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns. Now, I would definitely like to see him get the ball more, and I know 18 is a lot, but I need at least 20. I still will never understand having a rookie qb take over midseason, and not let him rely on the run game with the best RB in the league. I want more Derrick. I want more carries, I want more touchdowns, I want more. Words could not describe how angry I was in the Buccaneers game when we threw it to Jeffery Simmons instead of giving it to Derrick. I know we scored, I know it was fun and I love Big Jeff, Derrick and the team needed him to score. So much of football is confidence and getting in a rhythm. You have to let him get the ball more plain and simple, he needs to know he’s still the guy on this team and he’s the number one option and I don’t know why he doesn’t get it more. I could be wrong, but this looks and feels like the healthiest he’s been in a while and it feels like a healthy scratch. He got 2 touchdowns on 18 carries against the Panthers. Bad team. Why not wear down the defense and let him run 26 times for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns against every team like we used to. Again, never would I ever think I would have to say run the damn ball for the Titans. But here we are.

At the end of the day a win is a win, and I will never apologize for a win.

However I was not impressed with this win against the WORST team in the NFL. I didn’t see any real improvements from Levis or the playcalling. Then again who am I to say, i’m just some dude with a computer, but I do love ball. Also defense played really strong again and I felt very bad for Bryce Young, he got beat up.

Haters are pretending they feel fine, but there’s a little cough back there.

Titans are still pretty dead, but my favorite stat of this season is as of right now in week 12 with the Titans being 4-7 and 4 games behind the Jags in the division, we’re not technically eliminated from the playoffs. If we win one more, we might just be In The Hunt, although i’d rather have Marv.

Haters are okay, Titans are in the ICU, and I am all over the place.
